Earrings: responsibly sourced and recycled sterling silver, ethically sourced 1.95ct (3.9ct combined) Brazilian garnets, ruby beads, cultured freshwater pearls, garnet beads, turquoise, black and white clay beads.
This pair of earrings is inspired by the incredible depictions of biblical Judith in paintings by Artemisia Gentileschi, Caravaggio, and Gustav Klimt. In the canon of Western art, Judith has become a symbol of the powerful woman. Wishing to extend that empowerment to the wearer, we have handmade the Judith earrings and infused them with a Middle Easter/Mediterranean aesthetic. Incorporating a diverse range of materials, the Judith earrings are grounded, earthy, and strong.
